Questions answered.

Everything you want to know about applying, drawing funds, repaying, and working with KinectCredit - in plain language.

Applying

Does applying affect my credit score?

No. We use a soft credit pull when you apply - this has zero impact on your credit score. A hard pull (which may cause a small, temporary dip) only occurs when you accept your offer. We'll notify you clearly before it happens.

What do I need to apply?

Your business's legal name, EIN, estimated monthly revenue, and your personal information for identity verification. You'll connect your bank account via Plaid (fastest option) or upload 3 months of bank statements. That's it. No tax returns, no P&L, no business plan.

How long does it take?

Most applicants finish the application in under 5 minutes. Decisions typically come back within minutes for applicants who connect their bank via Plaid.

What are the minimum requirements?

You must be a legally registered U.S. business with at least 12 months of operating history, at least $10,000 in average monthly revenue, and a credit score of 550 or higher. Active bankruptcies or outstanding federal tax liens disqualify an applicant.

Can I apply if I've been declined by a bank?

Yes. Many of our approved customers were declined by traditional banks. Our underwriting model uses real cash flow data - not just a credit score - so we can often say yes where a bank has said no, provided the business fundamentals are strong.

Can I apply if my business is less than a year old?

Not yet. We require at least 12 months of operating history. If you're approaching that milestone, check back once you hit it.

Your Credit Line

How much can I borrow?

KinectCredit offers revolving lines of credit from $5,000 to $1,000,000. Your specific credit limit is determined by our underwriting engine based on your revenue, credit profile, and business history.

What can I use the funds for?

Any legitimate business expense - payroll, inventory, equipment, marketing, expansion, cash flow management. Personal expenses are not permitted.

How does a revolving credit line work?

Think of it like a business credit card but with much higher limits and lower rates. You draw what you need, repay it, and your available credit replenishes automatically. You never reapply.

Can my credit limit increase over time?

Yes. KinectCredit periodically reviews accounts and may offer credit limit increases to borrowers in good standing. You'll receive a notification if an increase is available, and you can accept with one click - no new application required.

Drawing Funds

How do I draw funds?

Log in to your borrower portal, go to Draw Funds, enter the amount you want, select your destination bank account, and confirm. Takes about 60 seconds.

How fast will funds arrive?

Same-day ACH is available for $25 and delivers funds by 5pm on the day you request. Standard ACH is free and delivers in 1–2 business days.

Is there a minimum draw?

Yes - $500 minimum per draw. No maximum other than your available balance.

Is there a draw fee?

No. Drawing from your credit line is always free. The only optional fee is the $25 same-day ACH upgrade.

Repayment

How does repayment work?

You make minimum monthly payments on your outstanding balance. Every dollar you repay restores your available credit. You can also pay more than the minimum at any time - there's no prepayment penalty.

Can I set up autopay?

Yes - and we recommend it. Set up autopay in your borrower portal. Choose your bank account and payment date.

Is there a prepayment penalty?

None. Pay your balance off early at any time, with no extra cost.

What happens if I miss a payment?

You'll receive an email and SMS notification right away. A late fee may apply. If you're facing a difficult period, contact our support team - we'd rather work with you than against you.

Security & Privacy

Is my information secure?

Yes. KinectCredit uses 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Our platform is SOC 2 Type II certified. We never sell your personal data.

Why do you need my bank account?

Connecting your bank via Plaid lets us verify your revenue and cash flow in real time - which powers a faster, more accurate credit decision. Access is read-only. We cannot move money without your explicit instruction.

What is Plaid?

Plaid is a secure bank connection platform used by thousands of financial apps including Venmo, Robinhood, and American Express. It lets you share your banking data with KinectCredit without giving us your login credentials.
